I just found this item for sale on ebay - a first day cover commemorating the formation of 488 Sqn. It shows an interesting illustration of a Buffalo (wearing 67 Sqn markings - bad show by the researcher).

I know that a similar FDC was produced for 71 Sqn which also had an illustration of a Buffalo wearing the probably spurious code letters XR-A (spurious because there's no evidence 71 Sqn's Buffalos ever carried unit codes).
